Sharon Hills Elementary School enrolls 379 students ranging from PreK - 5th grades. In addition to the core subjects (Reading, ELA, Math, Science and Social Studies), students participate in weekly ancillary classes (Physical Education, Library, Art, Computer and Guidance). Special Education classes include the following services: resource, self-contained, autism and speech. Supplemental instructional programs are Study Island, Accelerated Reader, LEAP Remediation (4th grade only), and all Reading and Math initatives offered by the EBRP school system.
All teachers at Sharon Hills Elementary School are certified. Teacher experience ranges from one year to thirty years. Teachers receive continuous professional development in efforts to enhance the delivery of instruction. We work very hard to maintain a family environment. We constantly encourage students to do their very best at all times. Parent involvement is a very strong indicator of success. Parents are always welcomed to visit their child's classroom. We also encourage parents to volunteer their services in multiple areas (office, cafeteria, library, classroom helpers, special event volunteers, etc.)
Special events for this year include Literacy Night (September), Math Night (December), iLEAP/LEAP Meeting (January), Body Walk (November), Wacky Week (December), Holiday Sock Hop (December).
Through a strong partnership between home and school, we look forward to having a great school year.
